MAGNUS RISING: Live Performance Of PANTERA's 'Cowboys From Hell' Posted Online

December 11, 2005

A live video of MAGNUS RISING's performance of PANTERA's "Cowboys from Hell" has been posted online at the group's official web site, www.magnusrising.com (.WMV file, 10 MB). The video was recorded by a fan Friday night (Dec. 9) in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada at the Dimebag Darrell and Chuck Schuldiner tribute show.

Commented MAGNUS RISING bassist Matt Snow: "It was just amazing to be able to get up on stage and pay homage to one of my heroes. I've been listenin' to Dime for years and to be able to honor him in this way is really overwhelming. He's never gone as long as people remember his life and his music. Cheers for him man."

MAGNUS RISING's setlist included their own originals as well as PANTERA's "Cowboys from Hell", "This Love", "Revolution is My Name" and "Walk". Also performing Friday night were INCIDIUM, who played an "amazing" set that included PANTERA's "Art of Shredding" and "I Can't Hide" as well as DEATH's "Without Judgement", "Empty Words", and "Symbolic". Openers GUTTERBOMB began their set with a performance of DAMAGEPLAN's "Fuck You".
